former players and officials from Fraserburgh Football Club are being invited to attend a special gathering shortly.
FFC chairman Finlay Noble said that as this was the club’s centenary season, it has booked the Fraserburgh Leisure Centre for a club reunion.
This is open to all current and former players, officials and anyone who at any point has been part of the club over the past 100 years.
“It will take place on Saturday, February 26, with a 7.30pm start. Attendance is free and there will be stovies served later in the evening,” he said.
The emphasis is all on catching up with old friends:
“It is planned as a purely informal occasion where the main focus will undoubtedly be on catching up with old friends and teammates and having a good blether. Anyone who has any old photos are encouraged to bring them along so everyone can reminisce about the old or maybe not so old days.
“There are a few ex referees coming along as well to add to the fun and possibly explain some of the decisions they made all those years ago,” he said.
Mr Noble added that he had been contacted by a number of ex-players already and that the evening promised to be a wonderful event.
