It’s not often that a top celebrity offers to sing at your wedding - but that’s exactly what happen to Fraserburgh couple Keith Lovett and Angela Wilken during the recent Kevin Bridges show at Aberdeen’s AECC.

Keith Lovett proposed to his girlfriend Angela Wilken during the stand-up show on Saturday night, with comedian Bridges offering to be their wedding singer.

Happy-man Keith told the Herald: “We have been together for a while and she’s amazing and I knew however I was going to do it it had to be something special.”

Keith had contacted Bridges tour manager and arranged for a tweet to be put up on screen at the end of the show.

Angela said: “It went up on the screen and I read it and looked at Keith and he dropped down to one knee.”

The new bride-to-be said she then remembers a bright light and “Kevin Bridges shouting out that he’d be our wedding singer.”

She added: “It was a big shock, I didn’t expect it at all especially where we were.”

Keith thinks that singing spot is now Bridges to lose.

He said: “We’ll give him the offer but I wouldn’t be surprised if he said no.”

Before any plans like that are looked at the happy couple, who have been together for a year and a half, are just getting back to reality. Keith said: “We’re still just coming down from cloud nine.”
