Fraserburgh arts group to host international festival

A Fraserburgh arts group will play host as part of an international culture festival this year.

Fraserburgh Junior Arts Society have announced that the Aberdeen International Youth Festival 2016 will be held at Dalrymple Hall and Arts Centre this August.

The local amateur dramatics group will host a range of music and dance groups from across the globe at the annual festival.

Performing at the event will be The Elbrus Circassian Dance Troupe from Jordan, the Afula Representative Orchestra alongside the Norwegian pop and trad fusion band How To Kiss A Frog and Scots trad trio Treol.

A spokesperson for the Fraserburgh Junior Arts Society sad that audiences can expect traditional dance, big sounds and inspiring music at the gala performance.

Tickets for the festival are available from R&S Dyga Newsagent and the even itself will take placed on Tuesday August 2 at 7.30 pm at Dalrymple Hall.

Tickets cost £8/£5.
