Free Broch taster session of Mary Portas guide to successful retailing

LOCAL retailers are going to be given the opportunity to benefit from the expertise of Mary Portas, who is best known from the BBC2 show: Mary, Queen of Shops.

With her mixture of guide, good sense and gregarious personality, Mary has revived many flagging retail business. She has now shared her expertise with Skillsmart Retail to develop a unique series of master classes for independent retail stores.

The programme of master classes, delivered in association with Lifeskills Centres, will give business the skills to increase turnover and profit, improve quality, standards and service, increase staff commitment and motivation and enhance personal confidence.

A free taster session will launch these master classes to be held in Fraserburgh on August 4 at 6pm in The Hub 56 High Street, Fraserburgh.

This initial event is being hosted by Fraserburgh Development Trust. Chairman Ian Watson said:

“We welcome this initiative. We are delighted that this session is being held in Fraserburgh at the Hub.

“This is a great opportunity for local shop owners to gain additional skills on their doorstep,” he said.

The interactive master classes will be delivered by a Mary Portas accredited associate.
