Fraserburgh-based organisation Home-Start NEA took the opportunity to boost funds and promote their work at the Pop-Up Shop on High Street recently.
Despite the poor weather, the fund-raising was hailed a great success by organisers, with a steady stream of customers buying ‘new to you’ clothes, toys, books, DVDs and the many other items that were for sale.
Net proceeds from the Pop-Up Shop, including the sale of Snowflake Badges, the raffle, Whisky Squares and Lantern Squares, amounted to over £400.
The funds will help towards new projects which are being planned to increase the support being offered to families with children aged five years and under.
The Pop-Up Shop volunteers were most grateful to Joseph, Jossdl and others for assisting with drawing the raffle.
I. Stewart from Fraserburgh was the lucky winner of the 1st prize of £100. The 2nd prize (£50) was won by J. Rubite and 3rd prize (£25) was won by F. Todd. Twenty-one other prize winners have also been announced.
The winner of the Whisky Squares was S. Gibson from Mintlaw, who correctly guessed ‘Glenfiddich’.
Home-Start NEA would like to thank everyone who supported the Pop-Up shop and contributed to its success. They would like to thank Mrs M. Partridge for the extended use of the shop and all who generously donated items for sale and raffle prizes, especially Mr and Mrs Puttick (1st prize) and the Masonic Lodge, Fraserburgh (2nd prize).
Special thanks also to the Here For You Project for the donation of new toys, to the sales assistants and all customers.
