Golf club’s gift to Alzehimers charity

Inverallochy Golf Club has handed over a cheque for £969 to Alzheimer Scotland recently.

A cheque was handed over by club members Ross Buchan and Albert Bruce to Jenna Adams, post diagnostic link worker for Alzheimer Scotland.

Thanking the club and its members for the generous donation, Jenna said: “The donation will help make a real differeence to people with dementia and their carers who live in the local area.”

Alzheimer Scotland provides a wide range of services for people with dementia and their carers across Scotland.

Its services provide personalised support designed around each individual.

Jenna added: “Fundraised and donated income enables us to take a holistic approach to providing services and to supplement or enhance those services.

“This helps make a huge difference to people’s lives, engaging with our services.”

Dementia affects 90,000 people in Scotland, 3,200 of whom are under 65 years old.
