Fraserburgh and District Horticultural Society are looking forward to welcoming folk from Fraserburgh and the surrounding area to their annual flower show which will be held on Saturday September 10 at the Dalrymple Hall.

The annual flower show, now in its fifty sixth year, will open its doors at 1pm with the official opening and presentation of prizes taking place at 2.15pm.

The guest speaker this year is Sandy Stonach who will also perform the official opening.

Among those who will receive their prize at this year’s show will be the winner of the annual tallest sunflower competition, for children up to the age of 16 years, which was judged last Saturday.

As always there is an opportunity for visitors to the event to buy some of the beautiful flowers and produce on display at the end of the day auction.

There will also be refreshments for visitors to the show as well as sales tables.

A spokesperson from the Society said: “We are delighted the show is going ahead and would like to thank C & A West and Florianna’s for sponsoring the event. We are looking forward to welcoming the public to our show and hope they enjoy the displays.”
