Ian Forbes has retired as Treasurer of Fraserburgh Lifeboat Station.

Ian, who had been treasurer of the Lifeboat Station for the past 14 years, officially retired from his post last Friday, September 26.

As a memento and a thank you for all his hard work over the years, Coxswain Vic Sutherland presented Ian with a camera and a framed photograph of the Fraserburgh lifeboat from the crew. The photo of the lifeboat was taken during a quick trip out to sea the day before Ian’s retirement when he was accompanied by colleagues Harbour Master Andrew Ironside and Harbour Superintendent John Murison.

Pictured above are volunteer crew member Amy Allan Millar and ex deputy coxswain Victor Sutherland Snr, who took the photo which was presented to Ian.

Fraserburgh Lifeboat would like to take this opportunity to thank Ian for everything he has done for the station over the years and wish him a long and happy retirement.
