Pupils and parents at Inverallochy School are continuing to get stuck into converting their outdoor area in ‘Operation Eco-Allochy’ with the creation of a willow fedge and dome.
Class teacher, Pauline Smith, told the Herald: “The willow fedge and dome are being planted in an area designed with the nursery children in mind.
“Within this same area there will be a hill, a muddy play area, a wildlife garden, a sensory garden, a circular paved area and a weaving frame.
“To assit the children with the work they had a visit from a willow expert, Mr Andrew Saunders, from Scottish Willow of Colpy near Inch. Parents have also volunteered to lay the patio and build a small wall around the muddy play area.
We have also begun to hang painting easels, chalkboards and mirrors along the fence.”
