Jobskills club launched at Broch Community Centre

Do you need help getting noticed by employers? Why not try out the new Job Skills Club at Fraserburgh Community Centre.

The clu,b which is run in partnership with Working with Families, local Job Centre Plus and the local Community Learning and Development Team (CLD), meets every Thursday providing people the opportunity to get support with writing CVs, looking in the papers and various websites for advertised jobs and filling in application forms.

Over the coming weeks, the club is planning to deliver workshops on interview techniques, writing cover letters and other skills necessary for getting and keeping that job! Sessions are tailored for individual needs, from ten minutes quick search sessions on internet to a few weeks of workshops.

Commenting, Margaret Lawrence, SCLDW, said : “We are looking forward to working in partnership with local agencies and supporting folk access local jobs and the training that our workshops will provide.”
