Members of Fraserburgh Jog Scotland attended the Lochness Run recently to raise funds for local charities.

The dynamic Fraserburgh group successfully raised £2,000 and decided that this fantastic sum would be presented to Fraserburgh Westfield School.

For many of the members this was their first official 5k run. Commenting on the event, Gillian Strachan, Fraserburgh Jog Scotland, Leader and club member, Georgia Buchan said: “The run was really busy but it was great fun and really good to be part of such a big event.”

The public spirited group are now raising funds for other local charities and campaigns.

The next event planned is the Balmoral Run, where the club are raising funds for local children Olivia Downie and Ethan Scott, this will then be followed with the Baker Hughes Run. Both of these events are 10k runs.
