Lifeboat quiz success

FRASERBURGH Lifeboat held another very successful quiz night last Friday evening with 28 teams taking part and £750 being raised to support the lifeboat crew in their lifesaving work.

Quizmaster Norman Cameron asked the questions on a wide range of categories covering such diverse subjects as film and television to pot luck, testing the knowledge and imagination of all taking part.

The winners were the ‘Tartan Specials’.

Coxswain Victor Sutherland congratulated them and thanking everyone said that it had been another successful event organized by the Fraserburgh RNLI Fundraising Branch and that everyone had thoroughly enjoyed
themselves.

He thanked the ladies for the catering and the Royal British Legion for the use of the hall. He also thanked Norman Cameron for setting the questions and being the quizmaster, the marking team, Iain Rankin for maintaining the score board, everyone who brought along raffles, and everyone who took part to raise £750 for the Fraserburgh Lifeboat,
the ‘Tartan Specials’ having donated their prize winnings to boost the original pot of £710.
