Academy does Glee

This year Fraserburgh Academy is putting on a performance based on the hit US TV show Glee, writes S$ pupil Isla MacCall.

The script was written by a third year English class as a class project and was edited by fellow third year Shannon Gray.

The story follows a new girl, Sarah, as she struggles to fit in. She is torn between two rival Glee Clubs, The Champions and The Misfits. She chooses to join The Misfits but she falls for Patrick, the lead singer of The Champions. This budding romance makes the already tenuous relationship between the groups intensify. Sarah makes loyal friends and powerful enemies as she finds her place through singing, dancing and competing against The Champions. But which group will reign supreme?

The whole production has been written, choreographed, developed and performed by pupils. So much effort has been put in by teachers and pupils alike but the recognition must be given to the fact that the whole production has been pupil orientated from its very conception. We hope that the show will be a huge success and that it will be enjoyed by all who come to see it. Tickets are on sale from Fraserburgh Academy priced £5 for an adult and £4 for a concession. The show runs from Tuesday to Thursday, June 26-28 with doors opening at 6.30pm for a 7pm start.
