Band end season on high note

Members of the Fraserburgh RBL Pipeband end the season on a 'High Note'. The band attended the final Major Championship, The Cowal Highland Gathering on Saturday 28th August in Dunoon.

Although the weather was not very kind to us the band played extremely well and awaited Massed Bands with great anticipation.

The band were overjoyed to be placed First Overall crowned Cowal Champions 2010.

This has been an amazing year for the band especially as this was our first season competing in this grade.

The band started the season hoping to be able to compete well against other bands and to have finished second on the Major Champions Table has surpassed all our expectations.

It is a great achievement having won two and placed 3rd in three majors out of five.

As the current 2010 British and Cowal Champions and North of Scotland Champion of Champions the band are now preparing for their annual St Andrews Night Concert on Saturday 27th November where all our Trophies will be on display.

Tickets for this event are available from band members.
