Local Girl Amy Munro hands over cheque for the Olivia Downie Fund

a Fraserburgh girl has raised £200 for the Olivia Downie Appeal at her 10th birthday pool party.

Amy Munro requested that in lieu of gifts from family and friends she wanted donations for Olivia.

Olivia Downie was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called Neuroblastoma and has been raising money ever since to get life-saving treatment.

Amy’s grandmother Jean Munro said: “I am very proud of Amy for doing what she did.

“She knows Olivia and is always thinking of other people and wanted to do something for her.

“Amy would like to thank everybody who helped her raise the £200.”
