Challenge to grow tallest sunflower
BUCHAN'S young gardeners are being challenged to grow the tallest sunflower by Fraserburgh and District Horticultural Society.
Children under the age of 16 years, who live within the AB43 postcode area, are being invited to compete in their annual Sunflower Challenge.
Prizes are on offer for all entrants, with the winners being announced at the Society's annual show on Saturday, September 11.
A spokesperson told the Herald: "We hope that this competition will prove as popular as it has done in previous years."
