Greens join NUS campaign
NUS Scotland has welcomed the support of the Scottish Greens for its Fund Scotland’s Future campaign, which calls upon the Scottish Government to reverse the proposed £34.6m cut to college budgets.
Alison Johnstone, Scottish Green MSP, said: “The Greens and all the other opposition parties agree that the Scottish Government must look again at cuts to the college sector.
“The SNP are blowing billions on a misguided road building programme when just a tiny fraction of that budget would reverse these cuts and maintain funding for colleges that provide skills for employment to thousands of people.”
