Military Wives in charity boost
The Military Wives have announced this week that they have raised more than £500,000 for charity with their Christmas number one, ‘Wherever You Are’, which was composed by University of Aberdeen’s Professor Mealor.
The choir’s director, Gareth Malone, presented a cheque with the wives worth £503,985 to the Royal British Legion and the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association Forces Help.
The Military Wives will release aa album for Mother’s Day, featuring their Christmas number one and covers of contemporary hits. The money raised from the upcoming album will provide funds for the Military Wives Choir Foundation.
