Fraserburgh’s Moonlight Prowl was boosted last week by the youngsters at Peek-a-Boo Nursery when they handed over a cheque for £969.07.

The nursery pupils raised the money holding a bingo night earlier this year.

Staff at Peek-a-Boo Nursery said: “After the success of our bingo night fundraiser in March, Peek-a-Boo Nursery enjoyed a fun day out at Hoodles in Oldmeldrum on May 16.

“The remaining £969.07 was donated to Fraserburgh’s Moonlight Prowl, in aid of Breast Cancer. Peek-a-Boo would like to take this opportunity to thank our children, parents and the local community for their support and generosity.”

The seventh Moonlight Prowl will take place on June 2.

Two routes will be used for the prowl, one covering six miles, and the other 13 miles.

Since launching in 2006, the Moonlight Prowl has raised over £460,000 for the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary’s Breast Care Centre, in turn establishing potentially life saving research programmes.

Registration for participation in the Moonlight Prowl has ended, but those interested in helping with the group’s cause can still donate money, and sponsor walkers in the event, via the Moonlight Prowl’s website at www.moonlightprowl.co.uk.
