Thirteen new Cub Scouts officially joined the 1st Fraserburgh Company last week. The group were invested at a ceremony at Fraserburgh Academy.

A spokesman for the Cub Scouts explained that they had recently launched a recruitment drive around the local Primary Schools and were delighted with the response:

"Most of the brand new Cubs are aged between eight and nine years old, although we can take new recruits up to the age of eleven," he said.

The new recruits are: Jasmine Tait, Dale Stephen, Jordan Lee Press, Josj McHattie, Brendan Sinclair, Jay Davidson, Liam Ritchie, Dylan Buchan, Aidan Colley, Aaliyal Twycross, Jordan Ward, Ellis Andrews and Paulina Rekesiute.

Three members of the Cub Scouts also moved up to join the Scouts. They were David Stewart, Cameron Twycross and Scott Wilson (pictured below). Pictures: Submitted
