The General Gow Trophy is awarded to the best branch in the country which offers the most support to piping and drumming during the year.

The British Legion Affairs Officer, Kevin Gray commented at the time of the competition in April: “RBLS Fraserburgh dominated every category. There has never been anything like it. This is an extremely prestigious competition, with bands from all over Scotland.

“All the musicians can be very proud of
themselves.

“They came to one of the country’s great piping centres and were completely at home and showed complete professionalism.”
