Further vandalism at Kessock Caravan Park, Fraserburgh.

A second suspicious fire has taken place at Kessock Caravan Park in Fraserburgh.

The incident comes four days after a fire caused extensive damage to caravans on the Harbour Road site.

Police are appealing for witnesses following the second fire, which happened at about 1.30am on Friday, March 8. As a result of the incident a caravan was extensively damaged. The value of the damage is unknown.

Earlier in the week, suspicious fires took place at the caravan park at about 12.20am on Tuesday, March 5. As a result of the first incident two caravans were set on fire, causing a low four figure sum of damage.

Inspector Alan Brown from the Banff and Buchan East Local Policing Team said: “This is the second suspicious fire within the caravan park and I would like to reassure the public that in response we will be increasing patrols in Fraserburgh over the coming days.

“We will be reviewing CCTV from the area in an attempt to identify anyone who was in there at the time of the incidents. We would ask that anyone with information to contact Grampian Police.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Grampian Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 to remain anonymous.
