A section of a Fraserburgh play park has been fenced off for safety reasons.

The multi-purpose play unit at the Granda Swings in the Broch has been cordoned off and the cradle swings for younger children have been removed due to corrosion. However, local councillors are hoping the facilities at the popular swing park can be replaced.

Councillors Brian Topping and Charles Buchan have said they are monitoring developments at the play park closely. Commenting, Councillor Topping said: “I’m grateful to Ian Tillett and Bill Elliott for their efforts in this matter.”
