Applications sought for 2014 Butterfly Awards

Aberdeenshire Environmental Forum are appealing for entrants for this year’s Green Butterfly Awards.

Each year, Aberdeenshire Environmental Forum runs the Green Butterfly Awards to recognise the efforts of individuals, groups and organisations who are working to improve the environment within Aberdeenshire.

If you are resident in Aberdeenshire and you, your community, or any other group or individual, are involved in works or a project intended to benefit the environment within Aberdeenshire, then you or the group will be eligible for consideration.

Application forms can be obtained online at green-butterfly.org.uk or by contacting Brian Martin, secretary of the Aberdeenshire Environmental Forum, by phone: 01651 891336, or by e-mail: bmartinj@hotmail.com

Applications should be submitted by Wednesday, October 8.

While all aspects of environmental action will be considered, specific areas detailed in the application form are: Wildlife Conservation, Care of the Countryside, Creative Wildlife Conservation, Environmental Care, Business Enterprise and Environmental Awareness, which includes raising public awareness of environmental issues, providing advice and promoting environmental schemes.
