As part of a summer highlighting why business is good in Fraserburgh, we spoke to the head chef at the Museum of Scottish Lighthouses for his views on the town.

Leading the culinary charge at the tourist attraction, Kipras Preidys has been at the café-cum-restaurant since it opened just over a year ago.

“There is really friendly people,” he told us, in Fraserburgh.

Kipras continued: “If you’ve got a good relationship with the people, they’re going to help you out as much as they can.

“Development in this area is just getting better and better as people show their support for local businesses.”

In the last year alone, Fraserburgh has seen businesses relocate from other parts of Aberdeenshire to set up shops in the town centre, as well as initiatives such as Super Saturday and the Fraserburgh Gala offer opportunities for these local businesses to showcase their work.

“You’ve got a really wide variety of different businesses and choice in this town,” Kipras, who now lives in Fraserburgh following a move from Lithuania, concluded.
