Fraserburgh Lifeboat launched after distress call

The 'Willie and May Gall' was launched on February 10.

The Fraserburgh Lifeboat “Willie and May Gall” was launched at 8.24 on Monday, February 10, after an EPIRB distress alert.

The alert had been received initially by the Coastguard as coming from an area between Sandhaven and Rosehearty.

On arrival at the scene the lifeboat searched a redefined wider area along with an Rescue 137 Helicopter.

When it was established that no vessel was in distress the rescue services were stood down, with the Fraserburgh Lifeboat returning to station at 10.45pm.
