The Buchanhaven Heritage Society were delighted with the large turn out for their first event of 2014 and are busy preparing for their second one.
On Saturday, February 22 large crowds turned out to see the team’s latest exhibition and much to the delight of the organisers, there was a wide age group of new faces enjoying all that was on display.
Their popular Vintage Tea and exhibition will be held on Saturday, March 22 between 1pm and 4pm at the Buchanhaven Community Centre.
In addition to the lovely service provided there will be old photographs and artefacts on display and of course the usual warm welcome from the team.
Tickets will be on sale for the Scottish Evening planned for Saturday, April 26 where guests will be treated to stovies and entertainment from local musicians.
Elizabeth Milne, vice chair of the society said: “We were delighted with the great turn out and it was lovely to hear the “buzz” back in the centre. Our next events are always busy and we cannot wait to see our friends return en-mass.
“We have more exciting news to be released soon and I am certain the whole community will be pleased at our efforts in 2014.
“The potential for the whole community and beyond to get involved is immense and I look forward to releasing our activities in the near future.”
