Four Broch nurseries have each received a donation of £500 from the proceeds of the annual Fraserburgh Vintage Car Rally.
A total of £2,000 was split between four independent pre-school centres in the Broch.
The four recipients are Kiddiwinks Nursery, Happy Days Nursery, Peek-A-Boo Nursery and Playbarn Nursery.
Organisers of the Vintage Car Rally James and Catherine Gray presented cheques to representatives of each of the nurseries at the Fraserburgh Leisure Centre recently.
Commenting, James Gray said: “Every year we look for a good cause to donate to and this year we decided to support the four independent nurseries in Fraserburgh so they can use the money to support the kids in their facilities.”
Lynne Noble from Peek-A-Boo Nursery commented: “I’m delighted with the donation. We’ll be using the money for our outdoor area. Thank you very much to James and Catherine.”
Manager and owner of Kiddiwinks Nursery Anne Milne said: “I think it’s really good that they’re giving something back to the community.
“We’ve been involved with the Car Rally for a number of years and we’d like to thank them very much for the generous donation.
“The money will be spent on the children.”
Eleanor Smith of Playbarn Nursery added: “We were really pleased and surprised with the donation.
“We’re going to take the donation back to the nursery and let the children decide how the money should be spent. We’re very grateful.”
Heather Campbell from Happy Days Nursery said: “It was a very pleasant surprise. We’re going to be using the money for outdoor trips during the next school session.
“Thank you to James and Catherine.”
