Man airlifted to hospital after Rosehearty rocks fall

A man was airlifted to hospital yesterday evening after falling on rocks along the coast near Rosehearty.

Ambulance crews sought assistance from the coastguard due to the terrain following the incident which occurred at around 5.20 pm.

A spokeswoman for the coastguard said: "The Fraserburgh and Gardenstown coastguard rescue teams were sent along with the coastguard search and rescue helicopter from Inverness."

The injured male was airlifted to Raignore Hospital in Inverness.

The extent of his injuries are not yet clear.
