A special football match to raise money for the Olivia Downie appeal recently took place raising £1320 for the appeal.
The Mark Dewar Memorial Match at Roasehearty was called a huge success. Taking place in early June a Rosehearty select faced a Fraserburgh select in a friendly match that was played in quite a competitive manner.
A raffle was held throughout the day to the delight of everyone that attended including Olivia who was pictured with the teams along with her grandfather Abbie.
An organiser of the event told the Herald: “The game was played in a freindly but competitive manner with Fraserburgh winning 9-5.
“This year we also recieved the largest support in nine years, and it was really nice to see Olivia and her family there on the day. We would like to thank everybody for their support and donations.”
