More than £500 raised for Macmillan Cancer Support

A coffee morning in Fraserburgh, held at the Dalrymple Hall, has raised £588 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The money was raised on Friday morning as local people turned out to support the charity. Local businesses also showed their support by donating various items for raffles. Cut by Shirlyann, Pets Place, Elite Photographics Ltd, Vets, NISA, Kinx Hair, D. G. Anderson, Kenyan, McDonald and Stewart, Gordon Young, MacKintosh Butchers, the Sunflower Shop, the Light Shop, Thorntons and Maitland’s were each thanked for their support by the organisers.

September 28 was also the date of coffee mornings throughout the country, as Macmillan sought to hold the ‘world’s biggest coffee morning’. As funds continued to be tallied throughout the day, over £400,000 had been raised by 5pm on Friday.
