There’s a whole lot more to Fraserburgh Library than just books - including the popular Reminiscence group, a knitting group and a reading group!
Speaking to the Herald, a member of staff said: “If you enjoy a cuppa and a claik about times gone by, why not come along and join us at our ‘Reminiscence Group’.
“The next meeting is on Tuesday September 6 from 2pm to 3.30pm and will be held on the first Tuesday of each month thereafter.
“We have loads of local books, Fraserburgh Heralds and photos to trigger your memories and we are sometimes lucky enough to have a local speaker come along to inform and entertain us with their knowledge and talents.
“If you are interested in knitting then maybe you would be interested in joining ‘Knitting and Knatter’.
“This could be knitting for charity or for family and friends. You could compare patterns, exchange advice or just have a natter while you get on with your project and maybe squeeze in time for a cup of tea/coffee. We can provide a meeting place and a kettle, just bring along your knitting.
“We also have a reading group, so if you enjoy reading and would like to get together with like-minded people with a passion for books and get involved in a bit of light discussion over a cuppa then this would be for you.
It meets on the last Monday of each month from 2pm to 3pm.”
For more information on any of the above please come along and see us at the Library or give us a call on 01346 518197
