Museum install windows as temperatures soar in cafe

Fraserburgh’s Museum of Scottish Lighthouses has recently installed opening windows to combat the rising temperatures in their Stevenson Cafe.

The cafe had the new windows installed last week, the installation taking place over the morning of Tuesday, July 2, the cafe re-opening on the same day.

Collections manager Michael Strachan spoke to The Fraserburgh Herald about the newest addition to the popular eating spot, which now also serves evening meals on Fridays and Saturdays, saying: “It was decided to put in the windows because we found that the temperatures in the cafe were quite high in the summer time.

“The windows have been needed for a long time now, so we’re very happy with the addition and we hope our customers find it very comfortable when they visit,” he added.
