Owner Denis MacDonald said: “We bought the shop in November and have been doing some refurbishment inside since then.
“Both my wife and I are excited that we will be opening the grocery shop and we hope it will be useful to everyone in the village.
“The premises have been used as a grocery shop for the last 40 years and my wife and I wanted to keep to this tradition although we will be independent.
“We have also applied for a license to sell alcohol which we hope we will have soon to sell in the shop.”
