A Fraserburgh and District councillor is pushing for improvements to be made in the Buchan town.
Councillor Brian Topping has called for James Ramsey Park and parts of the surrounding area to be enhanced.
Already, the footpath from Strichen Road into James Ramsey Park has been resurfaced, however, Cllr Topping has met and spoken with council officers to see if further changes can be made.
Speaking to the Fraserburgh Herald, Cllr Topping said that there are problems including broken bollards and tyre marks near to the town’s new leisure facilities, and weeds beside the changing facilities.
Cllr Topping also hopes to see improvements to the footpath between the existing Fraserburgh Fitness Centre and the new community facility.
Commenting, Cllr Topping said: “I am delighted the footpath between Strichen Road and James Ramsey Park has been improved.
“The company which is delivering the leisure centre is doing great work in terms of the immediate vicinity of the area. However, I have concerns about the footpath between Fitness Centre and the new leisure facility.
“Safety is important and I believe there needs to be lights along the path between the two facilities.”
