Tesco Fraserburgh and the Red Cross have teamed up recently to raise funds for victims of the Typhoon in the Philippines.
Tesco employee Irene Masson and New Deer woman Linda Gray took part in a weekend of fund-raising at the Fraserburgh store.
Linda Gray decided to take part after she saw on Facebook that the Red Cross were looking for volunteers to help collect donations at Tesco Fraserburgh for the appeal.
Linda is a mother of two and is a nail technician. She is also the chairperson of the New Deer School PTA.
Irene Masson, who is a team leader at the checkouts at Tesco, saw that the Red Cross were looking for volunteers.
Irene worked her shift in the morning then went home and came back to Tesco to collect in the afternoon - before working another shift in the evening.
In total, the fantastic sum of £1,147 was raised.
Commenting, Tesco employee Martin Wisely said: “We would like to say a big thank you to Linda and Irene for the support they gave the Red Cross and would like to thank customers for their kind donations.”
