A recent balloon fundraiser held by a mother and toddlers group in Rosehearty was hailed a big success by organisers.
The group raised £470 from the event on Friday September 16.
All of the 400 balloons were sold out before the event which will see some much needed new toys bought for the group.
Event organiser Jenna McRobbie told the Herald of her joy at the amount of children who turned out to see the balloon release and the day was a great success.
She said: “The day went very well. We managed to inflate the 400 balloons in just over an hour. The weather was perfect for the release and up on the hill was a great spot.
“The balloons were spotted floating high above Aberdour shortly after the release.
“It was great that so many kids came to see the balloons being released.”
The event was sponsored by Gray and Adams with BOC in Aberdeen providing the helium for the balloons free of charge.
Jenna added: “The best part of the day was probably the amount of kids that turned up.
“It was great to see their faces light up at the sheer amount of balloons in the net.
“This is something I have never seen before either so I was probably as amazed as they were.
“We have had one ticket returned from Aberdeen which is great but as its only been 3 days since the release, I’m sure we can look forward to many more.”
