Rotary Club holds annual charity golf competition.

Fraserburgh Rotary are holding their annual charity golf open competition at Fraserbrugh golf club this weekend.

The competition which has been run by the Rotary club for over 30 years and has provided the organisation with funds to support many different projects.

An organiser told the Herald: “In many ways this competition is at the heart of how Rotary tries to operate.

The club is a group of local individuals who get together to support others and to involve themselves in working together to achieve that support.

“Some items can be met with individual or group time and effort but so much more needs funding and this can be beyond what the members can do on their own.”

The charity golf competition allows the club to have some uncommitted funds which can be used to meet some local causes.

This years competition is an 18 hole Stableford open competition. Tee times can be booked by phoning Fraserburgh Golf Club on 01346 516616.
