A laptop computer has been donated to Road Safety Grampian by the Rotary Club of Central Buchan to support the delivery of road safety education in the area.
Derek Jennings, junior vice-president of the Central Buchan Rotary Club, said: “The Rotary Club of Central Buchan is proud to be involved with Road Safety Grampian and its aims to reduce road casualties.
“We hope that by donating this laptop we in some small measure are helping Road Safety Grampian with setting up strategies and progressing towards their overall targets. We hope that all road users in Aberdeenshire will help them to achieve these targets.”
Road safety adviser Mandy Dickson welcomed the donation from Central Buchan Rotary Club, saying: “Sadly people are still dying in crashes on the roads in the Buchan area.
“The donation of this laptop from the Rotary Club will help us spread our road safety messages further in the Buchan area. We will be able to develop and deliver more road safety presentations to people of all ages in our area.
“We will be able to update some of our current presentations and develop new ones with this resource and I would like to thank the Rotary Club for their kind donation, which hopefully will help us to reduce the number of people being killed and injured on our roads.”
