Vacancies have become available at a number of sheltered housing schemes across Aberdeenshire.
There are vacancies currently available in a number of areas, including: Aberchirder, Gardenstown, Boddam, New Pitsligo, Maud, Cruden Bay, Stuartfield, Fyvie, Balmedie and Laurencekirk.
Aberdeenshire Council operates a number of sheltered housing complexes across the area to provide housing support to older people. Residents are supported by a team of sheltered housing officers and facilities often include a shared lounge for social activities, laundry facilities and a guest bedroom.
Chair of Aberdeenshire Council’s Housing and Social Work Committee Councillor Karen Clark said: “Sheltered housing offers a safe and supported living environment for older people whilst enabling them to retain a sense of independence. Aberdeenshire Council is delighted to offer vacancies at a number of sheltered housing complexes in the area.”
Vice chair Councillor Alisan Norrie added: “Aberdeenshire Council’s sheltered housing complexes present an ideal opportunity for older people who wish to live in their own tenancy with the added reassurance of having support when required.”
