Students clean up around their village

some 72 pupils from Crimond School set about cleaning up the village on Friday of last week showing that they are very responsible citizens.

The pupils were eager volunteers and collected plastic juice bottles, fast food packaging, snack wrappers, cans and all manner of things as they cleared litter from public spaces.

Throughout the day, 15 bags of litter were collected in total. A school spokesman told the Herald: “It was a very successful afternoon thanks to the young people who want to improve the appearance of their local area and, hopefully, make others realise that everyone can make a difference and get involved in the future.”
