It was truly a Super Saturday on Saturday, December 13, when Fraserburgh folk gathered in their hundreds to witness the annual arrival of Father Christmas via the Broch lifeboat.

This year’s event co-incided with the popular Super Saturday which was held at the town’s Saltoun Square and there was a definite air of Christmas in the town.

After disembarking from the lifeboat, Santa then headed to his grotto where he settled in before welcoming children and families and handed over some gifts as well as posing for a
few pictures.

Stallholders at the Super Saturday event provided visitors and locals alike with a host of festive goodies at a wide selection of stalls, while the influx of visitors also provided plenty of trade for the local shops.
