The Fraserburgh Tesco store has provided the local community with a much needed helping hand.

The store, based on South Harbour Road, had £1,000 to give away to the local community and invited shoppers to nominate a good cause to receive a share of the donation.

The store team then sifted through the nominations and finally selected three local groups to receive a range of donations to go towards their cause. The selected charities were the Fraserburgh RNLI, Kinship 4 Kids and Kessock Park Kidz.

The donations are going to aid a number of initiatives at all of the chosen groups A representative from each cause was invited to meet the store manager at a special cheque presentation held at the store.

Store manager Neil Connell said: “We are delighted to be able to support three different but equally important groups within our community. We ran the competition to give our customers and local residents the opportunity to decide how and who we should support.

“We had so many deserving nominations making the decision process extremely difficult. My team and I are very pleased to have met members of each group and hope that the donations we have provided will help to make a difference within the Fraserburgh community.”
