A Buchan toddlers group is organising a Christmas farmers market.
Parents from Strichen Toddlers have been busy organising the event which is to be held from 10am to 1pm on Saturday, November 24, in the village’s Ritchie Hall
There will be a huge range of stalls including local stall-holders as well as companies from further afield. These include: Berry Scrumptious, Sew Happy and Homemade, Ola Oils, The Lodge, Isabella’s Preserves, Rhiannon Jewellery and Embroiderise amongst many others.
There will also be raffles, a bouncy castle and a Santa’s Grotto. Parents, grandparents and other visitors will be able to order their turkey, buy Christmas presents and keep their tots busy with entertainment, all without the hassle of going into town.
Entry is £3, while concessions and kids under-12 are £1.50. Entry includes refreshments and homemade mince pies.
Chairperson of Strichen Toddlers, Emma Fowlie, said: “Preparations have gone really well.
“Because the event was such a success last year, many stall holders are coming back. It’s a great event not only for the mums but for the whole community.
“Some of the parents who come to the group came here as toddlers themselves.
“We’re really grateful to the local community for supporting us.”
One of the other mums added: “We’re a really friendly, welcoming toddler group.
“This event isn’t just for the kids, it’s for the mums too.”
Strichen Toddlers, which currently has around 30 youngsters on its books, runs from 9.30am to 11.30am every Tuesday and Friday morning.
The group is open to children aged 0-3 years and continues during the school holidays.
