Local farmers and landowners with an interest in developing alternative forms of energy are being urged to contact the Fraserburgh Development Trust, which is looking to form partnerships with landowners in this emerging sector.
The Trust is looking to take advantage of the potential income streams from renewable energy sources to reinvest in community projects which improve services and opportunities in the AB43 postcode area.
In particular, the Trust is seeking sites that would be suitable to host wind turbines. A spokesman for the Trust said:
“We are very keen to hear from local landowners or farmers who would be interested in working in partnership with the Trust to explore and establish wind turbines in the area.
“We are in discussion with a local landowner, but would like to hear from other interested parties, regarding further sites which might be suitable for this type of development,” he said.
Interested parties are asked to contact the Trust on 01346 510513 or email: email@example.com
