Willows gets boost from rock legend

Willows Animal Sanctuary, near Strichen, have been boosted ahead of Christmas with the donation of a guitar from rock legend Brian May, of Queen fame.

The signed guitar with be auctioned off by the sanctuary with the auction ending on December 23, offering the chance for both a music enthusiast and the animal sanctuary the chance to benefit before Christmas.

Willows Animal Sanctuary are asking people to bid on the item either by post or via email, with their Facebook page keeping everyone up-to-date with what the current bid is.

Jenny Gray, at Willows Animal Sanctuary, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have Brian May’s support.

It is so very kind of Brian and we hope it will attract lots of bids!”

Brian May got in touch with the animal sanctuary after seeing fellow rocker Paul Rodger becoming involved with the Aberdeenshire sanctuary.

“I hope this trust guitar will contribute to improving the life of these wonderful animals,” said Brian May.
