An Aberdeen Football Club player surprised an Ellon music school to congratulate them on passing their latest set of exams.

Top goal scorer Adam Rooney arrived unannounced at Skin Deep Music School with his wife to present pupils with certificates for their efforts a couple of days before Christmas.

Owners Jayne and Ian Brown from Fraserburgh thanked the couple for visiting the school.

They said: “Adam’s wife comes here for guitar lessons and Adam sometimes has drum lessons so we were thrilled when he agreed to come along.”
