The fixture list for the new Highland League campaign was released last week, revealing the match-ups for the coming 2014/15 season.

The 2013/14 season had been a great one for Fraserburgh Football Club who, as well as breaking their points tally from the season before, had went on a remarkable Scottish Cup run.

Finishing fifth in the table, they were made to rue early season defeats which perhaps cost them a higher place on the table. They were, however, the only team in the Highland League to have beaten eventual winners Brora Rangers.

Brora, meanwhile, had dominated the league for most of the season, slipping up only to the Burgh. They would go on to win the league by 20 points.

Making up the rest of the top five were Inverurie Locos (2nd), Nairn County (3rd) and Formartine United (4th).

The opening day of the new season, August 2, will see Fraserburgh make the trip to Mosset Park to play Forres Mechanics who finished ninth last season.

Champions Brora will open the season with a tie away to last season’s bottom side Fort William.

Fraserburgh then end the season on April 18 with a home tie against Inverurie.
