Forres keeper Stuart Knight saved a penalty as his side produced an impressive victory away to Fraserburgh.

The visitors broke the deadlock early on with a spot-kick of their own as Stuart Soane scored from 12 yards out and they doubled that advantage in the 30th minute, courtesy of a fine solo goal from Paul Smith.

Fraserburgh had a great chance to equalise after Soane was adjudged to have handled the ball, but Scott Barbour saw his penalty brilliantly blocked by Knight.

Marc Dickson bundled in a goal for the hosts early in the second half and although they put the Forres backline under pressure, the Broch could not force an equaliser.
