Fraserburgh FC Supporters Club hold AGM

The Supporters Club AGM was held last Saturday at the Crown Bar.

Having a good turnout, it was regrettable that former Chairman David Henderson had announced his decision to resign, his resignation letter read out to the committee.

The Supporters Club would like to thank David for all the hard work, time and effort that he has put in for the club over the last 20 years.

They said that he has moved the Supporters Club on and without his skills we would never have such an extensive and successful website.

The meeting was brought to order and the minutes of the last AGM were read and approved.

The Chairman’s report was then read for the season 2011/12 covering numerous points of note for the Supporters Club and its members.

Kenny McDonald read the treasurer’s report and then the meeting was briefly chaired by Brain Topping so new office bearers could be elected.

Brain Topping and Graham Walker were voted unopposed as joint Chairman and, likewise, Kenny McDonald as Secretary/Treasurer. Mike McLean was elected as Bus Convenor, Martin Moir as Website Editor and Barry Walker as Membership Secretary.

Adult membership was set at £8, family members would be paying £10 and juniors and senior citizens would be £5. These prices have now remained static for a number of years now in the hope of attracting new supporters.

Bus prices are to remain the same for next season and, unless the price of fuel takes a rapid increase, will remain the same until the end of the season. The website was again hailed as a great success with almost 10,000 visitors since the start of the season. It was agreed to continue with the Thursday night Supporters Club slot on Brian Toppings show on Kinnaird Radio.
